Ireland is currently still in Level 5 of the Living with COVID plan. These government restrictions are in place to reduce infection rates from the virus and to keep everyone safe. These restrictions unfortunately mean a halt to nearly all paddlesports activity. The key restrictions relating to paddlesports are –

  • No travel outside your 5km radius from home, except for essential journeys
  • No group sporting activities are permitted. You may meet with one other household outdoors for exercise

As part of our basic safety recommendations we advise no one to go out on the water alone, with this in mind we recommend no paddling activity takes place during Level 5. This is in order to keep adhering to the government guidelines for public health during the pandemic, and to stay in line with our own safety advice for paddlesports. We will keep updates coming for a safe return to paddling activity in line with government advice. Stay tuned.
